It’s absolutely responsible for why I’m so mad about waiting two months for the next installment. These colors pop on the page, drawing the eye and underscoring the importance of magic being used. After the first volume, I wouldn't have gone out and searched for this, but since I had already gotten it, I read it, in one train ride (~30 minutes). The back-and-forth storytelling keeps me completed invested, and I can't wait to see the mystery unravel in future volumes. The worst part about “Birthright” #5 is that we won’t get a follow-up until April.
This was a bit a of whirlwind.
The real strength, though, is very much the characters; the details of their appearance, their body language, their facial expressions, it all combines to convey the very real and complex human (and nonhuman otherworldly) characters realistically.
I don't know why I've seen so many bad reviews about this second issue I mean it's really good I liked this one more than the first one. The artwork by Bressan is breathtaking, some of the best I've ever seen in graphic novel form. I live in Wilmington, DE with my wife and two children. It’s an interesting contrast. It was a simple moment of a father and son reuniting. Can Mikey be fully trusted? I am really loving it. One of... Comics Studies is a new and exciting field of Academia but what exactly is it and how do we even begin to approach the subject? Again, when I would watch movies, or TV shows, I always found myself interested in what came after.

Birthright #40 deals with massive, world-ending action and all of that is very impressive. Mastema has a biased view of humanity and love in general since she was raised by a monster. Such an intriguing series. Even though the art isn't necessarily my favorite style, the action sequences are so on point. It continues with finding out more about Lore, Mikey and how he went down the path of corruption, and the possibility of Brennan becoming like his little brother. It's pulling me more and more into the story.
