You ask the Lord a question and are reading in your Bible and a "random" scripture seems to address your prayer or concern. It's hard for me to wait, not knowing how long it will take before I find out what the answer will be and what it looks like for my life. (John 14:26). Of course, this is the best type of answer to prayers that we want to get.

God hears and answers every prayer, but there are a precious few to which he always says, “Yes.” The prayers always answered positively are the prayers which explicitly ask God to deliver on his promises to us. When we express the desires of our heart in prayer they do not fall on deaf ears. Prayer is a touchy subject for a lot of people. As the Bible tells us, we are not to lean on our own understanding. And the servant was healed that very moment. If the answer is "yes" and the question is contrary to the will of God, the answer is from you, not Him. This is when you have done all you can do and you know that God wants to answer your prayers but it may not be the right season or the people that God has called to help you may not be in the right place yet. With the not yet answer it can conditional or unconditional and only you can figure out which one is which.
It does not seem fair and it does not seem right. There is no such thing as a perfect Christian. Yet, sometimes when we don’t get a quick response, or exactly what we desire, we huff and puff and say God isn’t listening.
But one important reason we pray is for God to hear and to answer our prayers. God answers our prayer exactly like we ask Him to. These things are not of God and God is not going to honor these prayers that come from the works of the flesh (click here to read my blog on that). Then look to the Lamb! God does answer prayer. But God simply does not always work that way.
We pray for something and then we see results. verses, it is a given that if you are a Christian, when you pray according to You can pray for a promotion and not even be doing a good job at work. A centurion came to Jesus requesting healing for his servant. In order for God to hear us, we need to repent of our sins. Even David was a man after God’s own heart and he fasted for his child to not die but yet the answer was still a big fat no. How many times have you grown in your faith and deepened your relationship with Him because your circumstances drew you to your knees in prayer a little more often than before?
