In some locations the Innuitian Mountains measure over 2,500 m in height, and 1,290 km in length. The majority of small communities are predominantly Aboriginal in composition and are places where various aspects of traditional ways are still strong components of daily life. A huge economic activity in this region is tourism, and it is very dependant on the natural landforms seen in the Innuitian Mountains.
