kappa sigmas big philanthropy is Military Hero's Campaign (aid for vets, wounded soldiers) and hopefully that resonates with you, but even if it doesn't? Yes, at some schools it is a ‘top tier’ fraternity. I saw those plans UTD has for that new nightlife area and it was huge. Their internal messaging telling their members that they are leading the fraternity world is more often than not a farce. Tremendous fraternity with a lot of great brothers. They are very segmented and don't feel like a brotherhood in most frats but in a bad way.

Omg, kappa sigma throws down more than any other frat. Fraternity thought leaders lambasted the organization on social media. In reality there was nothing new for most of us. Kappa Sigma’s current leaders care more about Kappa Sigma members than external special interests. A fraternity must invest heavily into the professional circuit or risk being labeled a detriment to the future of the fraternity experience and students. This type of pandering undermines the NIC’s supposed commitment to freedom of speech and association. Kappa Sigma is the largest college social fraternity in the world with more than 200,000 living members, including over 17,000 undergraduates and 305 chapters and colonies located throughout the United States and Canada.
But I am inspired by Kappa Sigma’s willingness to be different. Their leaders are beholden first to their student members, and that’s how fraternity should be. Let’s not forget that Max Gruver, a student who died due to hazing, was a member of an alcohol-free housing fraternity. Overall, most people would say that nationally it is generally an ‘upper-middle tier’ fraternity. Alcohol-free housing policies were already in place in many fraternities, including my own, by 2017. The Balanced Man chapter of Sig Ep at my school, for example, hazed their members. Kappa Sigma is by far the best fraternity on campus they are a great brotherhood,great charity work,good looking as well and always seem to have a good time Reputation: Looks Friendliness: Thry were still known for being stoners though lol, but honestly most of greek life did some sort of drug. The Fraternity shells out tens of thousands of dollars to sponsor dinners and keynote speeches at FSL conferences.
They take the term “freedom of association” seriously enough to be different. Plus, their members love it.

It is one of the largest fraternities in the world, but not a member of the North American Inter-Fraternity Conference (NIC). It was the first time I saw fraternity leaders publicly discuss the faults of the NIC. Go to the different rush events for most and ask the different greeks. One theme pulsed throughout the event: “We are special. The CEO of Sigma Phi Epsilon embarked on a mini media tour after some high profile hazing deaths in 2017. Honestly... have a good friend that's a brother here. In 2018 Kappa Sigma cemented their position as the bad boys among Greek Life professionals (henceforth “FSL”) with the Champion Quest 2018 video. Pike is a large, well-liked, and well respected fraternity. Kappa Sig is pretty diverse.
First- no matter what they are on paper, you're going to be joining for the guys you meet. All the Kappa Sigs love Kappa Sig but they beef with everyone else. The downside is that SigEp students will still essentially pay NIC dues, and that there is no real counterbalance to hypersensitive student affairs professionals to protect their right to expression/association (See preceding paragraph), [READ: Freedom of Association, Our Apex Priority]. Me and my girlfriends LOVE hanging there, the bro’s go hard.
Greek life definitely kept me social and i went to plenty of parties.
Kappa Sigma expects people to sell directly to students to get student dollars. In 2012 alone, the Fraternity's endowment fund raised over $1 million in donations.

Last time I hung out at a KS house they spent the entire time playing mortal combat and smoking from an assortment of bongs. That is important.
The real new normal lies outside of the NIC and outside of failed policies from the past few decades. The good news is that this means they’re fulfilling what this post suggests – that a real “new normal” requires independent fraternities with independent brands and objectives.

Kappa Sigma is focused upon the Four Pillars of Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. It is a higher-end rush video with a bunch of generic “we are awesome” commentary. Not sure their rep now, but a few years back they were definitely the "stoner bro frat."
